How to IPPB Aadhar NPCI Link Online

Indian Post Payments Bank reached a count of 1 crore customers in about 5 years. If you’re also one of these people, here’s a good news. You can link your IPPB account with Direct Benefit Transfer just by sitting at home. No need to rush to the bank, wait in a long queue, or miss the opportunity because you’re out of station. The online service offered by IPPB would just take a few minutes as you wish to link NPCI with your IPPB account.

Steps to Check IPPB Aadhar NPCI Linking Status

There can be two major possibilities. One, you have already linked your Aadhaar DBT with any other bank account of yours. Or, you already completed the IPPB NPCI link but can’t recall. Be it any of the reasons, it’ll just take five minutes to check the current status of DBT linking online. Here are the steps:

Step 1. Search for ‘UIDAI‘ on your computer or mobile Google search engine. You can use any other secure browser as well. Click on the first link that shows https://uidai.gov.in/.

You can set your mobile browser to a desktop site by clicking on the three dots (⋮) from the top right corner of your screen and checking the button next to ‘Desktop Site‘ from the current list.

On the main screen, a set of languages would appear. Click on the language button you want to continue with. Scroll down to the next screen and navigate to the ‘Aadhaar Services‘ section.

Step 2. Next, Click on the section and look for the ‘Aadhaar Linking Status‘ section on the current screen. Click on the ‘Bank Seeding Status‘ section.

Step 3. Now, you need to enter your 12-digit Aadhaar number and the captcha code shown below that field. Click on the ‘SendOTP‘ button.

Step 4. Wait for an OTP message to your registered mobile number and enter it once received. Click on the ‘Submit‘ button.

Step 5. You’ll be redirected to the next screen. Bank details including name, account number, last updated date, and ‘Active‘ status would be displayed if your Aadhaar is already linked for DBT. If not, you can proceed for the next steps to complete the Bank account NPCI link.

Steps to IPPB Aadhar NPCI Link Online

Step 1. Go to the ‘IPPB Mobile Banking‘ application on your phone. If you don’t have the application, go to Google Play Store (Android Mobiles) or Apple Store (iOS mobiles) and search for the ‘IPPB Mobile Banking‘ app. Download it and register with your bank account number, customer ID, Date of Birth, and mobile number. If you’ve already registered on the app, log in with your 4-digit MPIN.

Step 2. On the home screen, navigate to the top-left corner of the screen and click on the hamburger icon (≡). From the current list, click on the ‘Services‘ option.

Step 3. Another list would appear. Now, click on the ‘Aadhaar Seeding‘ option.

The current status of the bank Aadhaar link will be displayed along with a ‘Success‘ status (if done already), the last updated date and the current account balance. Otherwise, the status would be ‘Not Seeded‘.

Step 4. Navigate to the top-right corner of the screen and click on the arrow.

Step 5.  Two options will be displayed on the Confirmation screen. Click on the first option where it’s written: Agree to receive DBT in the IPPB account and verify existing IIN with NPCI.

Step 6.  One 6-digit OTP (One time Password) will be sent to your registered (with bank account) mobile number. Enter the OTP and click on the ‘Submit‘ button.

A success message will be displayed along with a Ref No. (reference no. with respect to your application). Within 24-48 hours your NPCI DBT link with your IPPB account will be done. You may check the DBT link status by following the steps in the previous section. Otherwise, you can check it by following the steps from 1 to 5 in this section.

Can I change my NPCI link to IPPB from another bank?

Yes, you can also shift your account from any other bank account to Indian Post Payments Bank from the IPPB Mobile Banking application. Follow these steps:

Follow steps 1 to 6 from the previous section as it is. Click on the second option: Change DBT mapping to IPPB account and verify existing IIN with NPCI.

Enter the OTP sent on your registered mobile number and click on the ‘Submit‘ button. You’ll be redirected to the previous screen. The name of the previous bank where you did the NPCI link will be displayed with the ‘verified‘ status.
