Steps to Close Andhra Bank Account

Step 1: You need an account-closure form and fill it up mentioning the account and account holder related information as required.

Important Note: You can obtain the account-closure form from any branch or even can download online from the official website of Andhra Bank.

Step 2: In the account closure form, you need to enter the Account Holder’s Name, Account Number, Registered Mobile Number, Option to receive the remaining account balance, i.e., By Cash, Balance Transfer or Cheque/Draft.

Step 3: After entering the details, you need to cross-verify the form and sign the form in the provided box.

Step 4: You require submitting the copy of Identity Proof and Address Proof documents.

Step 5: You also need to surrender the Debit Card, Passbook, and Cheque Book.

Step 6: Along with the account closure form, you need to attach the copies of the documents and submit the Passbook, Debit Card and Cheque Book.

Step 7: The executive will accept the request and documents for account closing and forward it for processing.

Your account will get closed officially, and you will receive the remaining balance in the account via the selected option, i.e., Cheque/Draft or Cash or Account Transfer.

The bank will take a few days to process the request. You will receive a confirmation message on your registered mobile number within few days of making a request.

  1. I applied to cancel my account in Andhra bank 4 years bank gave a letter and debit card passbook cheque book but now for ekyc in another bank it is showing the account is still inactive what to do?
