  1. Can a Bank, particularly Tamil Nadu State Coop. Bank, close its branches for lunch? Somewhere, it is stated that banks cannot do so, and the staff members have to take lunch in batches, without closing counters, so that customer service is not affected.
    Kindly clarify.
And with whom a complaint shall be made against TNSC Bank branches that down their shutters for lunch?

  2. On the pretext of helping vulnerable Sr. Citizens, the Bank Staff deceptively deducts charges from the S.B. A/c under different heads. When it is found out by these vulnerable Sr. Citizens A/c holders then It is a herculean task for the vulnerable Sr. Citizens A/c holders to get these charges to be reversed (which were illegally misappropriated). The Bank Manager tries to convince the Victims that it is a nominal amount of Rs. 118/= or 236/= and assures that it will be reversed. Despite repeated follow-ups with the Bank Staff, it is never reversed because the Bank Staff enriched with experience knows that it will not be practically possible for the vulnerable Sr. Citizens A/c holders to follow up to its logical end.

  3. The Bank Statements are a basic & mandatory information is given to the A/c holder because the other mandatory requirement of Passbook Printing has been deprived to the S.B. A/s holder by the Bank Staff citing multiple excuses.
Received many complaints regarding this High handedness by the Bank Staff of refusing to give a Pass Book printout
Nor sending the E-statement to the regd. Email ID of the S.B. A/c holder to prevent In – House Fraud.
Expecting your cooperation & duty bound corrective action Sincerely dedicated to the welfare of the Common Man.

    • There is no set procedure for anything, it’s all law of the jungle. SBI Personal Banking Branch at 1, Teachers Colony, Kasturibai Nagar III Cross Street, Adyar, Chennai, remains closed most of the time under some pretext or other, and even if open, no service is properly rendered in time. Where is this space called “INDIA” heading towards?

  4. Well, you should try Internet banking and other options like a digital wallet and mobile banking. It never takes a lunch break.

  5. . First and third Saturday of every month is a holiday for all banks.*

    * the Fourth point is correct or wrong?

  6. Thanks for the valuable information, It saves a lot of time to know about timing. Every one must know about it.
